A list of the Participating Locations can be found below. The Challenge runs from Friday, March 19, 2021 through Saturday, April 3, 2021 (“Challenge Period”). This Challenge is not intended to be used as a gambling device and is strictly for entertainment purposes. ELIGIBILITY: The Challenge is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, who are 18 years of age or older or the age of majority under applicable law at the time of participation in the Challenge, whichever is older (“Contestants”). Official Judges’) decisions, which are final and binding.

CHALLENGE STRUCTURE: The Challenge consists of five rounds (each, a “Round”). Three of the Rounds (the First Round, Sweet 16 Round, and Final Four Round) will consist of eating competitions held at certain Participating Locations. The Second Round and Elite Eight Round are non-eating Rounds, and Contestants will advance from those Rounds based on their results in immediately preceding Rounds. The First Round will be held from March 19, 2021 to March 22, 2021. There will be one First Round participation session (“Session”) per Participating Location as set forth in the chart below. Each Session will begin at or around the designated start time and will end at the designated end time or when all Contestant slots (“Slots”) have been exhausted, whichever comes first. The Sweet 16 Round will be held on March 27 and 28, 2021, and the Final Four Round will take place on April 3, 2021. Sponsor’s time clock shall be the official clock of the Challenge.

HOW TO ENTER THE CHALLENGE: To enter, visit a Participating Location prior to or during the designated Session for that Participating Location, complete the Waiver of Liability and Filming/Publicity Release and sign up for the Challenge. Your entry information must be accurate and complete, and you may sign up only on the day of the Session. There will be approximately 12 to 15 Slots in each Session for Contestants to compete in a timed wing-eating challenge in each Session. Each Slot will be approximately 20 minutes. Contestants will be allowed to participate on a first-come, first-served basis, and there is no guaranty that all those who wish to participate will be able to do so. Potential Contestant must be present and willing to participate when potential Contestant’s name is called. If potential Contestant does not respond to announcement within five minutes, that potential Contestant will be moved to the end of the list for that Session, provided there are Slots remaining. Contestant may participate only once in the First Round, and a Contestant may not participate in the First Round at more than one Participating Location. Any attempt by any Contestant to participate more than once may result in disqualification.

FIRST ROUND: Each Contestant will be asked to eat 10 Carolina Reaper traditional chicken wings (“Wings”) in under five minutes as quickly as possible and subject to the eating contest conditions set forth below (“Conditions”). There will be 30 Sessions (one at each Participating Location), and the Contestant with the fastest time in each Session will advance to the Second Round (Round of 32). In the unlikely event there is a tie for first in a Session (Contestants will be timed to the hundredth of a second), the Contestant who competes first (i.e., received the earlier Slot) will prevail in the tiebreaker. Two at-large Contestants will also advance to the Second Round. The two at-large Contestants will be the Contestants with the best non-winning times from all Sessions. In the unlikely event there is a tie for the second at-large position, Contestant who was closer to the winning time in his or her Session will prevail in the tiebreaker. If, because of Covid-19 or any other reason, a Session is canceled at a Participating Location, Sponsor will announce the cancellation at the Participating Location and will take an additional at-large Contestant for the Second Round (Round of 32).

Second Round (Round of 32): Contestants who advance to the Second Round (Round of 32) will be placed into a 32-Contestant bracket (“Bracket”), Bracket placement is at the Sponsor’s sole discretion and will not follow traditional Bracket seeding. The Second Round (Round of 32) is a non-eating Round, which means Contestants will compete based on their times from the First Round. If there is a tie, the tie will go to the Contestant who receives the higher spot in the pairing. The Second Round (Round of 32) winners will advance to the Sweet 16.

NOTIFICATION AND CONFIRMATION OF SWEET 16 CONTESTANTS: On or about Tuesday, March 23, 2021, Sponsor will attempt to notify the potential Sweet 16 Contestants by telephone or email, and each potential Sweet 16 Contestant must respond within 24 hours of initial notification attempt. If there is noncompliance with these Official Rules, if prize notification or attempted notification is returned as undeliverable, if potential Sweet 16 Contestant does not respond within 48 hours of initial prize notification attempt, if potential Sweet 16 Contestant is deemed ineligible for any reason, if potential Sweet 16 Contestant declines to participate in or is otherwise unable to participate in the Sweet 16, or if potential Sweet 16 Contestant does not complete and return required forms by deadlines set by Sponsor, Sweet 16 (and the accompanying prize) will be forfeited and, time permitting, awarded to the potential Sweet 16 Contestant’s Round of 32 opponent.  Sweet 16 Contestant must complete a Sweet Sixteen Waiver of Liability and Filming/Publicity Release before participating.

SWEET 16: The Sweet 16 will be another eating Round and will consist of eight head-to-head competitions. Contestants will be asked to eat 10 Wings in under five minutes as quickly as possible and subject to the Conditions set forth below. The Sweet 16 round will take place at the Participating Location of the Contestant who has the fastest time from the First Round. The Sweet 16 matchups will take place on March 27 and 28, 2021 at times to be designated by Sponsor. The Contestant with the fastest time in each Sweet 16 matchup will advance to the Elite Eight. If there is a tie in any matchup, the tie will go to the Contestant who had the fastest time from the First Round. If, because of Covid-19 or any other reason, certain Participating Locations are not available, Sponsor may revise the Participating Locations.

ELITE EIGHT: The Elite Eight is a non-eating Round. Contestants who advance to the Elite Eight will remain in the original Bracket but will compete based on their times in the Sweet 16. If there is a tie, the tie will  go to the Contestant who had the fastest time from the First Round. The Elite Eight winners will advance to the Final Four.

NOTIFICATION AND CONFIRMATION OF FINAL FOUR CONTESTANTS: On or about Monday, March 29, 2021, Sponsor will attempt to notify the potential Final Four Contestants by telephone or email, and each potential Final Four Contestant must respond within 24 hours of initial notification attempt. If there is noncompliance with these Official Rules, if prize notification or attempted notification is returned as undeliverable, if potential Final Four Contestant does not respond within 48 hours of initial prize notification attempt, if potential Final Four Contestant is deemed ineligible for any reason, if potential Final Four Contestant declines to participate in or is otherwise unable to participate in the Final Four, or if potential Final Four Contestant does not complete and return required forms by deadlines set by Sponsor, Final Four berth (and the accompanying prize) will be forfeited and, time permitting, awarded to the potential Final Four Contestant’s Elite Eight opponent.  Final Four Contestants must complete a Final Four Waiver of Liability and Filming/Publicity Release before participating.

FINAL FOUR: The Final Four will be another eating Round, and the Final Four Contestants will compete one at a time in the order designated by the Sponsor. The Final Four will be held at the Buffalo Wild Wings at 7 E Washington Street, Indianapolis on April 3, 2021 at 3:00 PM ET. Contestants will be asked to eat 10 Wings in under five minutes as quickly as possible and subject to the Conditions. The Contestant with the fastest time will be declared the winner. If there is a tie for first, the tie will be broken by who had the fastest time in the Sweet 16 Round. The Final Four event may be streamed live on the Sponsor social channels and on the OT Network, which is streamed at Buffalo Wild Wing locations. Accordingly, Contestants in the Final Four must comply with generally accepted standards of conduct, language, and dress for an event broadcast to general audience. If, because of Covid-19, the Final Four Participating Location is not available, Sponsor may designate another Participating Location to host the Final Four.

EATING CONTEST CONDITIONS: Contestant must sign a waiver of liability before participating in any eating contest portion of the Challenge. Contestant must at all times consume Wings in a safe and hygienic manner. Wings cannot be touched or manipulated by Contestant prior to start. Contestant must remove all wing meat from the bone, with the mouth only. Contestant may not consume any kind of drinks while participating in the Challenge. Bathroom breaks are not permitted. Wings cannot be dunked in liquids or liquids may not be poured on Wings. Contestants cannot use any other food, condiment, or sauce, including, but not limited to, celery, bleu cheese or ranch dressing. Contestant must finish one full wing prior to starting another wing. Any food that passes the lips into the mouth must stay in the mouth. Wings cannot be hidden or otherwise discarded. The “Chipmunking Rule” will be enforced, and any food that remains in the mouth must be swallowed before the timer will stop. Contestant must show an empty mouth before the timer will stop. After the timer is stopped, a two-minute “No Reversal Rule” is enforced, and any food that is eaten must remain “down” for two minutes after the timer is stopped. Contestant may not vomit or regurgitate during the course of the Challenge. Contestant must comply with any Covid-19 rules or requirements imposed by the Participating Location. Contestants who are in violation of any of these Conditions will be disqualified at Judges’ sole discretion. Contestants will not be required to pay for the Wings. Each Contestant’s time will be recorded by the Judges’.

BRACKET: The Bracket may be posted online and in Participating Locations and is for entertainment purposes only and should not be relied upon in assessing potential winners. If there is a discrepancy between the posted Bracket and actual winners or times, as determined in Sponsor’s sole discretion, Sponsor’s determination will govern. By participating, you agree to have your name and scores appear on the Bracket.

CLAIMING PRIZES: All prizes awarded are subject to verification by Sponsor. If potential Final Four winner is not in compliance with these Official Rules, if potential Final Four winner is deemed ineligible for any reason, if potential Final Four winner declines prize offered, or if potential Final Four winner does not complete and return required forms by deadlines set by Sponsor, Grand Prize will be forfeited. If the Grand Prize is forfeited, time permitting, the Grand Prize will be awarded to the runner-up in the Final Four Round.
